Four Easy Steps To Improve Your 10-yard and 40-yard dash
When I played college football, it amazed me at how many of my teammates had no clue how to optimize their sprint times. Their technique is poor, their starts are awful, and they think they are ok!
And their high school coaches are "know-it-alls"! While I was a player, several teammates approached me to help them improve their 40-yard dash (one was a legitimate draft pick). The situation was a quick fix for speed.
I had no time for a training program so I had to look at their technique. I have found with most football players untrained in sprint technique, they make four common mistakes.

PROBLEM: There are significant disadvantages to carrying a single water bottle while walking and running. Clutching a single bottle impedes the rhythm of your workout by creating imbalance, forcing your body to compensate. Plus, most of the single water bottles you carry are disposable and clog up your landfills.

Snowboarding Secrets
Submitted by Redskinfan on Fri, 10/26/2007 - 11:02am.If you're thinking of going snowboarding, whether it's your first time or tenth, this is the most important letter you'll ever read.
I'm about to reveal all the secrets about snowboarding you've ever wanted to know...
Are you sick of falling on your rear every 2 meters? Is your tailbone sore from taking heavy falls? How would you like to reduce the number of falls dramatically, and protect yourself from the hard, icy conditions?
What's the deal with T-Bars? How are you supposed to get up the mountain with something that's been designed for skiers?

A Twist to Complex Training for Boxing
Many of boxing's training philosophies have originated out of tradition, rather than science. Trainers often refuse to change, continuing to teach archaic techniques.
Unfortunately, the failure to accept change is just one of the problems. Many boxing trainers are unable to implement new techniques due to insufficient funding.
Boxing is a sport that thrives in the ghetto with many gyms being located in city community centers that lack funding for expensive training devices. These gyms cannot afford Olympic barbell sets or other proprietary tools.
Sleep Deprivation in Softball
Eight hours of sleep a day seems like a colossal waste of time, doesn't it? After all, in the hectic world we live in, those precious hours could be put to use for many other more useful things. So why is sleep important and why do we need so much of it?
Most sleep researchers state that Americans are chronically sleep deprived, college students and athletes even more. Your players are very likely to be chronically sleep deprived, even though they might believe otherwise. The consequences of a chronic sleep debt on performance, mood, energy levels, cognitive abilities and overall psychological and physical well-being are major.
